Unless you have been hiding in a cave for the last few months with no access to any kind of media you will realise that, after tomorrow, we will finally have the decision about our future within the EU (or not).
Yes, I honestly do grasp the magnitude of the referendum but I just can’t wait for it to be over. Campaigning on both sides has been painful on my ears. And my eyes, come to think of it.
So, what will happen once the results are in?
Well, presumably if we stay in it will be business as usual but half the country will be disgruntled, tell us the sky is falling in, we’re all doomed and bemoan what could have been – a bit like in the Scottish referendum.
If we Brexit, the other half of the country will tell us the sky is falling in, we’re all doomed and whilst there is likely to be a period of economic uncertainty, thousands of jobs will be created in the civil service to deal with the bureaucratic chaos that ensues as we try to negotiate new terms for everything that has ever existed in the history of the universe ever!
Either way, we will still be marketed to by brands and agencies in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world – after all, we’re pretty big spenders in the global scheme of things.
And either way, British agencies across all disciplines will still continue to innovate with cutting edge campaigns as they target business and consumers in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
And either way companies will still be looking to win new business, because progress stops for no one!
But the best thing of all is that the awful, negative campaigning by both sides will be over. The end is truly nigh!
