Just in case you’ve been living in a cave for the last few weeks, there’s been a lot of hoo-ha in the media about horse meat being found in various processed beef products sold or manufactured by certain supermarkets and household-name brands.
Now, you’re probably asking yourself “What has this got to do with the new business world? Why is this bloke banging on about such nonsense when he’s supposed to give us business development tips? Has he eaten too many Tesco burgers and had his mind befuddled by bute?”
Well, maybe – I am prone to the odd processed beef meal at times. But that’s beside the point.
The reason I’m blogging about this is because I heard on the news last week that butchers have seen a huge increase in new business. The reason is that you pretty much know what you’re getting when you go to a butcher.
This in turn got me thinking about new business agencies – there are plenty out there and there are certainly plenty cheaper than Alchemis.
But I like to think of us as the equivalent of a traditional quality butcher. Your campaign is not mass produced in a factory for the cheapest possible price, with corners cut to maximise revenue in circumstances where the profit margins simply wouldn’t be there otherwise. Instead it is carefully dissected and packaged exactly as you’d expect, by professionals with years of experience.
So, if you have a “nagging” doubt that your existing business development agency is not quite giving you the ingredients that it says on the tin, you know who to call.
